Changes Ahead

Yes, I realise that it’s January 12th and I’m probably late to the party but I thought I’d let you know what’s going on with my blog for 2015..

1. There will be less beauty posts. Not that there was a HUGE amount before but living in the countryside there is a limited selection of brands and a limited selection of products unless ordered on the internet, obviously with regards to shades and inability to swatch this makes it quite hard. (Having said that, over Christmas I have acquired quite a few new things so you might see some of those soon)

2. Monthly favourites will changes slightly, I’m not going to split them up into specific categories as I felt like I HAD to find something for each category even if there wasn’t anything that I loved that month. I may have liked it but probably not enough to count it as a favourite.

3. In 2013 (bear with me) I did some relatively serious damage to my knee and getting the confidence to get back into fitness proved difficult. I’d been wanting to try CrossFit for a while and in October, after a summer of gentle exercising, I signed up. It’s brilliant, I’m in the gym at least five times a week and my knee is slowly building back strength. So, now I’m fully back with the fitness bug, there will be more health and fitness posts including fitness fashion, lifestyle tips, motivation and more…

I think that’s it really, nothing to be scared of 🙂 Thank you for sticking with me through 2014, looking forward to sharing 2015 with you!

Out & About: Ham Hill Country Park

Ham Hill Country Park isn’t far from where we live and on a good day the views are really quite spectacular. It’s a popular location for picnics in the Summer and crisp walks with the dogs in the Winter. At the top of the Hill is the Prince of Wales pub which serves beautiful sweet potato chips ready for when you’ve finished your walk… except yesterday because they’d run out of sweet potatoes – disappointment all round but beer battered onion rings and a bowl of normal chips soon calmed the army!

Last week I sent round a message to some of our dog owning friends to see who might be interested, turns out the idea was embraced by all. Saturday had been a mixed bag of weather so yesterday we were prepared with wellies and warm coats.

Thor loved having his friends to play with – fields and fields of off the lead fun!

I’ve been living in Somerset for about seven years now (although at boarding school in Derbyshire for part of this) but it’s probably been within the past two years or so where I’ve grown up, moved out, been doing what makes me happy that I feel like I’m building some real friendships and feel like I actually belong in this neck of the woods.

(Next time I’m ‘Out & About’ I’ll make sure there’s memory and battery on my camera so I can share more of it with you all)

I’ve had a lovely weekend full of happiness and I hope you have too.
